How truly lucky I feel! To have the “task” of unpacking new books a couple of times a week is utopia for a book lover. If you’ve ever come in the shop when I’m unpacking, you’ve seen my desk heaped with books—heaven!
Today’s box brought four special orders for customers: How to Teach Shakespeare to Your Children (This one looks so good that I’ve ordered another one to buy for myself–and MY children are grown!); Jodi Picoult and her daughter’s new book, Off the Page; and Wild Life and Jack’s Run for a customer’s school’s summer reading program. Also in the box were Lincoln’s Grave Robbers (this true crime thriller is a great way to learn about President Lincoln), The Red Pyramid (Book 1 of Rick Riordan’s Kane Chronicles), Adventures with Waffles (a new book about friendship from Norwegian writer Maria Parr), and 12 picture books! I’m midway through Pseudonymous Bosch’s Bad Magic (remember The Secret Series?), and though I was planning to read Nuts To You next, I may not be able to resist Julia and the Art of Practical Travel….
What are YOU reading on this rainy afternoon?
Hooray for book boxes!
